The Warrior II was and still is one of the most popular aircraft ever produced in Piper’s PA-28 Cherokee line up, and that’s for good reason. Known for its forgiving flight characteristics and practicality both as a personal recreational aircraft and as a training platform, the Piper Warrior strikes a perfect balance in the four place single engine category that’s simply hard to beat. While some improvements have certainly been made to the Warrior since its birth in 1974, the airframe and the aerodynamics have remained almost entirely unchanged for this tried and true classic. At CFI, our Piper Warrior II N2069M is a great example of a reliable trainer on the sportier low-wing side and is a great choice for private pilot training.

A GREAT CHOICE FOR TRAINING
Practicality Meets Fun
You want something affordable to train in but still want to fly an aircraft with that classic aviation look and feel. The Warrior fits that bill. As you aproach it you notice that familiar shape of something that wants to fly. Climbing on the wing to enter the cockpit, sitting almost level with the wings, you feel more grounded and connected to the airfrme. You latch the door and your ready fly an aircraft that says, I’m serious about my training, but I still want have fun during the process. Some say the low wing configuration just feels more natural, more sporting, and looks more like the way you would expect an airplane to look. We can’t disagree. Its no wonder so many students at CFI choose to train in a Piper Warrior and why it continues to be a mainstay of training fleets accross the country. Its a smart economcal choice, it a plane that is wonderfully engineered to fly, and yes, its a lot of fun.
