Multi Engine (AMEL)
Typically and ‘add-on’ to your existing single-engine land private or commercial rating, getting your multi-engine covers you for both VFR and IFR (provided you have your instrument rating) but entitles you to fly aircraft with more than one engine.
Career
If the airlines or corporate flying is in your future, the more ratings, certifications, and hours you have the better your resume will look! Not to mention your MEL is sort of… required.
Fly Direct

FAA REQUIRMENTS
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS (Add-On)
- Hold a Private or Commercial Certificate
- Current FAA Medical or Basic Med
AERONAUTICAL EXPERIENCE
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE (Add-On)
- No Minimum Flight Time (however expect 10-15 hrs)
- Earn Endorsements from Authorized Instructor
- Pass Practical Test
