Ever since I was little I’ve always had a little piece of the aviation bug inside me. Growing up, I’d go with my family to the Camarillo and Van Nuys air shows every year. My grandfather was a pilot in WWII as well so when we would visit him in Tucson we would always stop by the aviation museum nearby. I had my first discovery flight at the age of 15 in Van Nuys, and then another flight with a friend at the age of 17. Despite being interested at a young age, and even being exposed to the beauty of flying as a teenager, it wasn’t until after getting my bachelors degree at the University of Hawaii that I decided to pursue something I was really truly interested in.
After a couple years in the family business, franchising Dominos pizza, I knew I had to look for something else. So I started my aviation journey here at Camarillo airport! After yet another discovery flight I knew I had to hop in whole heartedly, and I haven’t looked back once. I’ve had the opportunity to fly with many great people, to fun places up along the coast of California and through to Mesa Arizona. I enjoy flying to new places and experiencing all there is to see in this great world of aviation. The people you meet in this line of business is another one of the many reasons I enjoy flying as much as I do. Great people, great stories, competent instructors, lots of life lessons and genuine people that care about you and your story. I look forward to meeting more great people, extending my knowledge to my students, and having a great time doing something so fun!
