Growing up, I’ve always loved traveling and being at airports, but I never thought I would be a pilot. It wasn’t until I joined the Navy in 2014 as an Aviation Mechanic working on MH-60S in San Diego that I realized that the aviation community was where I wanted to be. When I left the military, I came to Camarillo to learn to fly. After receiving my PPL, I wanted to dive deeper into the aviation world while also pursuing a degree, so I left to go to the University of North Dakota. There, I received the rest of my ratings, as well as a degree in aeronautics and aviation safety operations. Afterwards, I wanted to come back to Camarillo in order to continue to learn, as well as to give back to the Camarillo aviation community because it’s truly a tight knit family. Not only am I excited to teach the next generation of pilots, but I’m excited to continue my learning through my students, colleagues, and community.
